The Journey to Justice Tour bus is making its way to 18 cities across the United States\, and it’s making a critical stop right here in New Orleans! \nJoin us on Friday\, October 3rd at Loyola University New Orleans to experience a powerful day of education\, action\, and connection. The bus is designed as a “Smithsonian-style” interactive mobile museum  and was created by award-winning producers and individuals directly impacted by solitary confinement. This unique traveling exhibit provides an immersive look into the realities of torture and isolation in the U.S.\, combining multimedia storytelling\, history\, and advocacy resources. \n📍 Event Details \n\nLocation: Loyola University – Main Campus\nBus Exhibit: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM\nTeach-In: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM\, Audubon Room\n\nAbout the Teach-In \nThe Teach-In on Solitary Confinement will bring together Loyola students from diverse academic paths \, including social work\, law\, education\, criminal legal studies\, theater\, and film to explore the urgent need to end solitary confinement. This dynamic session will feature: \n\nPanels of experts and advocates sharing insights on reform efforts.\nInteractive workshops connecting students to opportunities for action.\nStorytelling sessions led by people directly impacted by solitary confinement\, highlighting the human cost of isolation and the power of healing.\n\nThis interdisciplinary approach will give students a deeper understanding of the issue and its impact across professions\, inspiring them to be part of the solution. \nWhy This Partnership Matters \nOur collaboration with the Jesuit Social Research Institute (JSRI) is a living example of putting mission into action and advancing faith-driven justice and human dignity. The partnership with Justice & Accountability Center (JAC) and the Impacted Solitary Survivors Council (ISSC) underscores a shared commitment to the communities we live in and serve\, amplifying the voices of those most affected and driving systemic change together. \nCome be a part of this transformative experience and learn\, engage\, and take action to help end the use of torture in our justice system.
