The Journey to Justice Arrives at the U.S. Capitol
On Thursday Oct 30, he fight to end the torture of solitary confinement reaches the nation’s capital. As the Journey to Justice Tour arrives in Washington D.C. for a National Day of Action, our message to Congress is clear: the time to pass the federal End Solitary Confinement Act (ESCA) is now.
Join the Federal Anti-Solitary Taskforce and our legislative champions on Thursday, October 30th, for a critical Day of Action on the National Mall (4th Street-7th Street between Madison and Jefferson). We will stand with Members of Congress and local organizers to call for an immediate end to this human rights crisis and demand federal action.
Throughout the day, the Journey to Justice bus will be parked on the National Mall on 4th street. We invite congressional staff, advocates, and the public to step aboard this powerful vehicle for change. Experience the ‘Smithsonian-style’ exhibit designed by directly impacted people, featuring powerful audio installations, compelling video accounts, and immersive virtual reality that brings the devastating human cost of isolation directly to the footsteps of our nation’s leaders.
